Trauma, Anxiety and Self-Esteem therapy for young adults

Linda Blur 1_edited.jpg

Hi! I'm Linda,

Therapy with me isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you find the version of you that feels calm in your own skin, confident in your voice and no longer weighed down by the past.

I'm a therapist who works primarily with women in their 20s and 30s. With me you can learn how to gain control over your thoughts, heal from past trauma, build confidence and decrease feelings of shame and guilt. I am skilled and experienced in working with women who struggle with anxiety, self-esteem and sexual trauma.

I have 11 years of experience in the mental health field. My past work experience includes private practice, mental health hospitals and higher education.

I specialize in helping clients move beyond short-term fixes into meaningful, lasting growth.

Let's Grow Together

Therapy isn't about becoming a whole new person. It's about uncovering the version of you that is already there. Whether you're here to process something painful, navigate a transition, or just want to feel more like yourself again--therapy can help you feel stronger, calmer, and more in control.

The relationship we build will be professional, but deeply human. I've learned that if we take the time to listen to others, to truly see them, wonderful things can happen. I understand that sharing and being vulnerable is not always easy and would be honored to have you trust me with things that are heavy on your heart.

Services

I get it, taking the next step to better yourself and your relationships can feel scary.  But you deserve to feel good about yourself and your life. I'm here to help. Here are some options:

Therapy

Initial Intake

Whether you choose individual or couples counseling, your first session will always start with an initial intake session. The goal of the initial intake is to learn more about you/your partner, begin figuring out your goals and take the first steps to embrace growth and change. We will also review paperwork, discuss ethical concerns and the therapeutic relationship.

Here is what you can expect from me as your therapist

Support and gentle challenge. I’ll give you space to share as much as you need to—and I promise to meet you with empathy. I’ll also challenge you to make some changes ---to your thoughts, behavior, communication, routine, or whatever part of your life you are looking to improve.

Practical tools and coping strategies. We’ll work on real skills you can use between sessions—strategies to manage anxiety, build confidence, improve body image, communication, or whatever you're currently facing. Then, when we meet again, I’ll ask you how it’s going. Did you practice your new skills?

A safe space. I know that opening up is hard—especially with someone new. My hope is that you feel safe, heard and understood so that you can feel empowered to make changes and live the life you want.

Things to try outside of session. Some homework (the manageable kind). No essays, I promise. Just small things to try in daily life—because lasting change happens in the moments between your sessions.

Someone who will listen, judgement-free. Yes, you’re allowed to come to therapy and vent. Say what you need to say—no filter required. I’ll hold space for it.

Girl in Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process—which means you have an important role, too. You don’t need to be “good at” therapy or have everything figured out. You just need to show up as you are.

Here's how you can make the most of our work together

Show up and be honest. You'll get the most out of therapy when you're willing to talk about what's really going on--even the parts that feel messy or uncertain

Try things between sessions. I’ll often suggest small steps or skills to practice. What you do outside of therapy is where the real change starts to take root. We are working on stopping old habits that do not serve you and building new ones.

Give it time. Some sessions might feel like a breakthrough. Others might feel slower or more reflective. That's normal. Progress isn't always a straight line.

Ask Questions. If something isn't clear or doesn't feel helpful, feel free to voice it. These are your sessions. My goal is to help you get exactly what you need out of our work together.

Most of all, therapy is about you.

Your goals, your pace, your growth. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

If you're ready for a change, you're in the right place. Therapy can help you bloom into the strong, confident, empowered version of yourself that you’re meant to be.
